The Dreamrift · Boss 1
Chimaerus the Undreamt God
Watch for: 2 spells to interrupt, 3 effects to dispel and 4 spells to avoid, then every spell of the fight, role by role.
Spells to interrupt
The Dungeon Journal marks these spells as interruptible. An interrupt stops them, as does a control effect that breaks the cast: stun, silence, fear.
| Spell | Cast by |
|---|---|
Fearsome Cry | Haunting Essence |
Essence Bolt | Haunting Essence |
Effects to dispel
These effects come off with a dispel of the right type, or are soothed when the enemy enrages. The type tells which classes can handle it.

|---|---|---|
| Fearsome Cry | Magic | Haunting Essence |
Consuming MiasmaHeroic+ | Magic | Chimaerus the Undreamt God |
Rending Tear | Bleed | Chimaerus the Undreamt God |
Avoidable damage
Blizzard classifies these spells as "avoidable" in its own damage meter: ground effects, frontals, leaps. Every hit counts, the first one included, and Wipe to Win holds no other against you. How they're counted.

Every spell of the fight
Every spell of the Dungeon Journal, in game order, with its markers: the role it targets, whether it's deadly or important. A spell marked Heroic+ or Mythic doesn't show up on lower difficulties.
